Getting Around Disneyland Paris & Finding Quiet Spots for Guests with Mobility, Disability, or Neurodiverse Needs

1. Use Quieter Pathways to Move Around the Parks

  • Side Routes: Avoid the main walkways where possible. For example, the pathways along the edges of Adventureland and Fantasyland are usually calmer than central routes.
  • During Shows: Move between lands during parades or stage shows, crowds are concentrated at the performance areas, leaving pathways clearer.
  • There is a great covered walkway located between Main street usa and Frontierland that avoids the crowds – Path location
  • There are also alternate routes to take between Main Street and Fantasyland that avoid going through the castle during peak times – Path location
  • So, rather than taking the direct routes marked red, which will be congested and potentially difficult to navigate, take the blue routes, which are normally avoided due to not being signposted.

2. Step-Free & Mobility-Friendly Routes

  • Many areas have accessible alternative entrances and exits. Ask Cast Members for directions to step-free paths that avoid ramps or bottlenecks.
  • Between Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, the Disney Village route is step-free and generally less crowded than the main entrances.

3. Quieter Rest Areas

  • Liberty Arcade & Discovery Arcade: Covered walkways parallel to Main Street with benches, shade, and lower crowd levels.
  • Near Phantom Manor: Shaded benches with a peaceful view over Frontierland.
  • Videopolis Theatre (Discoveryland): Plenty of indoor seating and shelter.

4. Parade Viewing Without the Crush

Depending on where the parade starts, position yourself closer to the end of the route, it’s usually less crowded. A great option is the bottom of Main Street near the park entrance, where you can centre yourself around the roundabout for a clear view.

5. Managing Sensory Needs While Moving

  • Carry ear defenders, sunglasses, or comfort items to reduce sensory strain in busy areas.
  • If possible, plan movement during quieter times such as early morning, mid-afternoon during shows, or later in the evening.
