Overview

Before entering Disneyland Paris or Disney Village, all guests pass through a security screening area. This includes a bag check and, in most cases, a walk-through metal detector. While the process is designed to be quick, knowing what to expect and how to prepare can make the experience smoother, especially for guests with mobility aids, medical equipment, or sensory sensitivities.

1. Security Screening Locations

  • Main Security Hub: Between the train station (Marne-la-Vallée Chessy) and the entrances to Disneyland Park, Walt Disney Studios Park, and Disney Village.
  • Hotel Guest Entrances: Some Disney Hotels have direct, smaller security entrances leading into Disney Village or the parks.

2. What to Expect

  • Bags and personal items are placed on a table or conveyor for inspection.
  • Guests usually walk through a metal detector while bags are checked.
  • If you have mobility aids or medical devices that cannot pass through a scanner, you can request a manual check.

3. Accessibility Tips

  • Mobility Aids: Security staff are experienced in checking wheelchairs, scooters, and walking aids respectfully.
  • Medical Equipment: If you carry essential items (oxygen tanks, feeding pumps, medication), keep them in an easy-to-access bag and let staff know before screening.
  • Priority Card: While it doesn’t bypass security, mentioning your accessibility needs can help staff guide you to a quieter lane if available.

4. Preparing for Security

  • Remove prohibited items before arrival (e.g., glass containers, large tripods, or certain sharp objects).
  • Keep electronics, medication, and important documents in an easily reachable part of your bag.
  • For sensory comfort, be aware the area can be noisy and busy, ear defenders or noise-reducing headphones can help.

5. Timing Your Arrival

  • Mornings between 8:30–10:30 AM are busiest, arriving earlier or later can reduce wait times.
  • Hotel guests using smaller, direct security points often have quicker checks.
