Transport & Getting Between the Parks for Guests with Mobility, Disability, or Neurodiverse Needs
1. Walking Between the Parks
- Step-Free Route: The main entrance area between the two parks is fully step-free with wide, paved walkways suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
- Walking time between park gates is usually 2–3 minutes, making it a practical option for most guests with mobility aids.
2. Through Disney Village
- You can travel between parks via Disney Village, which also connects to most Disney Hotels and the train station (Marne-la-Vallée Chessy).
- This route is generally quieter than the direct path between park entrances, especially during opening and closing times.
3. Shuttle Buses
- Complimentary shuttle buses run between most official Disney Hotels and the parks.
- All shuttles are wheelchair accessible, with a ramp or lift available, ask the driver for assistance.
- Tip: Avoid peak times right before park opening and just after closing, as buses can be crowded.
4. Accessible Hotel Routes
- On Site Hotels: Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Newport Bay Club, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, and Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel are within a short walking distance from the Disneyland parks and have the benefit of taking in the beauty of the lakeside location and scenery of Disney Village. Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, Hotel Santa Fe are within walking distance of the park, around 20 minutes however, guests who struggle to navigate longer distances may opt to use the free shuttle bus between the hotels and the parks.
- Davy Crockett Ranch requires car transport and cannot be walked to from the parks.
5. Using the Train Station
- The Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station is right outside the parks, with lifts and ramps for accessibility.
- If arriving by train, you can be in either park within 5–7 minutes of leaving your carriage.
6. Mobility & Fatigue Tips
- If walking long distances is tiring, alternate between walking and using shuttles throughout the day.
- Consider hiring a wheelchair or mobility scooter for the duration of your stay if you anticipate covering a lot of ground. wheelchairs hired from Disneyland Paris can be hired for up to 3 days and can be used around Disney Village and the hotel complexes. For those staying longer, rentals can be extended from the Disneyland Paris hire shop.
