Are there changing rooms in the boutique, and are they accessible?

The New York Boutique at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel does not have traditional changing rooms for trying on clothing. Most items sold in the boutique, such as souvenirs, accessories, and themed merchandise, do not require fitting. However, for any area of the resort that does offer changing facilities, accessibility is a key part of the design.

Changing Room Availability

Unlike larger clothing retailers or shops in Disney Village, the hotel boutique is a themed merchandise store focused on items like Marvel apparel, collectibles, toys, and travel accessories. While clothing is available, it is typically sold in standard sizes without in-store fitting.

As such, guests will not find individual dressing rooms or fitting cubicles inside the New York Boutique.

Accessibility Considerations

If a guest needs help assessing a garment’s fit or style, cast members can assist with sizing information, returns, or exchanges. Items may be held at the counter if the guest wishes to try them on later in their room.

The boutique itself remains fully accessible to wheelchair users, with wide aisles and space to view or handle items at various heights. Any future shop areas that do feature changing rooms within the resort are designed to accommodate mobility devices and include:

  • Wide doorways
  • Step-free access
  • Room to turn or transfer
  • Privacy and assistance available on request

Returns and Support

Guests who purchase clothing or wearable merchandise and later discover sizing issues can return or exchange the item, depending on the resort’s return policy. Cast members will provide clear guidance and help with locating alternative options or processing an exchange.

Summary

There are no changing rooms inside the New York Boutique at Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. The boutique is focused on accessible shopping for souvenirs and themed items, and staff are happy to assist with sizing help, returns, or adaptations for guests with accessibility needs.
